Gentle Yoga will help you develop a strong and flexible spine, feel ease in your joints, and be steady in your balance.

This class features breath-centered movements adapted for all levels of participation.

Each class includes movements/postures (āsana), breathing exercises (prāṇāyāma), and meditation (dhyāna) woven together for an integrated experience.

Yoga for Vitality & Strength focuses on developing a stable attention, a lightness of body, and a sense of calm energy through the practice of stability and steadiness in the body.

We are not concentrating on an increased heart rate. Rather, we explore and look for a heart rate that can remain stable even when we exert energy. We seek to develop very long breathing rhythms and the ability to be still, comfortably. 

To support this exploration, this class focuses primarily on postural practice with some seated breathing practice and meditation each week.
