Mentoring sessions give the dedicated yoga practitioner ongoing opportunities to enrich one’s practice and/or teaching.

Students may use these sessions with Amanda to deepen their home practice and through experience and conversation, better understand yoga in a therapeutic context. Some areas of focus include: traditional sequencing and asana course planning, application of pranayama for therapy, yoga philosophy and texts, vedic chanting, and the theory and practical application of teaching meditation.

For those who are considering a yoga teacher training in the lineage of T.K.V. Desikachar or a yoga therapy training program such as YATNA, a relationship with a yoga mentor is often encouraged or required.
